Review of Forbidden Planet (1956) by Alastair W — 30 Apr 2008
In HD this film rocks. Leslie Nielsen is the captain Kirk of his day leading his space weary crew to an almost deserted plant in search of its long since missing inhabitants.
It's 50's Sci-Fi done in the best possible way, the special effects are amazing for 1956 and the commentary is fascinating to say the least. If you don't think you like "old" films and don't like old sci-fi films even more then this is the one to change your mind.
Give it a go.....go on.
