Review of For Whom the Bell Tolls (1943) by Tim N — 07 Aug 2008
Now this is Hemingway done right. Best adaptation based on one of his novels. There is a reason that Hemingway and Cooper were friends...they both embody the same spirit. I feel the film is worthy of the awards and nominations.
I appreciate the time they took to tell the story. I could feel Hemingway's presence and inspiration. Definitely worth watching again.
