Review of For the Bible Tells Me So (2007) by Marie H — 19 Apr 2009

My only problem with this documentary was that it didn't have enough hard facts. For someone like me, the facts are more interesting then the stories (although they were interesting and very emotional) because I don't need convincing to love a gay family member, friend, future child etc. Therefore I wanted the interesting facts on the bible. This is of course what makes rating documentaries hard, because I feel that a lot of people need to be touched by these personal stories to get over their own hang ups.

Regardless of where you're coming from, it's a very touching documentary (one story in particular won't get out of my head) and I think you have to be completely without empathy not to cry or feel moved by some of these peoples stories.
