Review of For the Bible Tells Me So (2007) by Chris D — 11 Oct 2010
A powerful look at how the hateful teachings of out-of-context portions of the Bible affect different families, and how different people have been able to turn away from these views on homosexuality. The film does a good job of covering the verses in the Bible that mention homosexuality.
Being an atheist, I don't particularly care what "God's Will" is (since it usually is just whatever the person who is saying it wants), but it's important for people who are religious to learn exactly what their holy book actually says.
I think anybody interested in being informed on homosexuality's place in today's society should watch this film: I was already familiar with many of theses details but it will be very informative for anyone who has not studied this topic carefully before coming to a conclusion (and many religious people have not).
