Review of For Love of the Game (1999) by Kevin S — 22 Feb 2013
Billy chapel is a pitcher for the Detroit tigers who mindset is pretty much nothing matters except the game. He learns the tigers are being bought out and the new owners want to trade him. So he either will get traded or after 18 years call it quits.
He love life is falling apart too because the game always comes first. This is one of the many great performances from Kevin Costner. He is amazing in this movie. He works his charm and everyone else work well with him to make the movie worth the while.
I like baseball movies and not to big on romance but this is both and it mixes well. This is another good movie that is about the life and sport of baseball.
