Review of For Love of the Game (1999) by Myles — 15 May 2008
Vin Scully, the longtime radio voice for the LA Dodgers, called this one of the greatest baseball movies ever made. Now that is one hell of an endorsement for one hell of a movie! It's been said Costner was too old to play the part of the pitcher, well Randy Johnson threw a perfect game at 42 years old.
This was a great movie, a rare glimpse into the mind of a great athlete. Very believable, very touching and extremely well written.
