Review of For a Few Dollars More (1965) by Luke B — 24 Jan 2009
A great continuation of The Man with No Name's adventures. Here the script is tighter and more interesting. A sort of team up happens and Eastwood/Van Cleef make a fantastic movie double act without getting all "buddy".
The music is of course fantastic and is reason enough to see the film. The gun fights are well built up and never overdone. Only real problem is the dubbing and sound effects, which sometimes just cut off.
Still after a while you kind of get used to it and it is to the stories credit that it overcomes this handicap. A great looking film and one that makes you want to be a cowboy.
