Review of Footnote (2011) by Mike S — 28 Apr 2012
Joseph Cedar opts to view Israel as a fortress state. He employs this ostensible satire on academia as a metaphor for IsrEli politics and society. Whether you agree or not, Cedar's film is well- structured and intriguing.
Liked it better than "A Separation" which edged it out for Best Foreign Language Film ( probably due to Hollywood's politically inappropriate bias).
