Review of Footloose (1984) by Josh C — 09 Mar 2009
Like so many other 80s teen classics this movie really isn't all that remarkable in anyway other than its popularity. The script is full of cliche and the plot is rather mundane but it is still enjoyable to watch and the dancing is quite impressive.
As good as Kevin Bacon is, I enjoy seeing a young SJP and even younger looking Chris Penn get early roles. The soundtrack is also full of 80s gems--although that is a matter of taste.
