Everybody cut loose! This movie is what started the dancing movies that are popping up EVERYWHERE today. But this classic has moments that the new stuff just can't compete with. Like the old Kevin Bacon right around the time he was hot stuff.
And people that could actually dance. And a story line that is actually semi true for the small towns in America. But down at the base, it really is just basically the same. Hotties for the leads, dancing from the wrong side of the tracks, people doubting and not supporting the issue, school getting in the way, etc.
Fun and lively, with of course GREAT music to go along with it.
