Review of Footloose (1984) by Chris D — 08 Dec 2011

For me, the best thing about this movie was the "big hair" styles of the 1980's of which I once sported. It reminded me of my high school days and brought back a lot of memories. It was an interesting story.

I liked the sensitive treatment of the characters. I was super-impressed with John Lithgow's performance and really cared about the character he played. The worst thing about this movie for me was its frivolous treatment of teenage risk-taking.

I seriously expected the female lead to die in the end. I was disappointed that she didn't at least have to atone for her bad behavior.
