I thought this was a musical. Even the description here states it's a musical. It's not a musical. Yes there is music in it with properly timed montages. But it's not a cast singing type I expected.
There's a lot of violence towards women (well two woman really). Not positively seen of course, but still awful nonetheless. The acting was okay, but I wasn't impressed. The idea of it was so-so.
It's hard to imagine a world where dancing its against the law. Frowned upon sure, but I can't see how it would ever pass as a law. The dancing was very good though. I'm going to watch the 2011 one and see how it compares.
