Review of Fool's Gold (2008) by Jason K — 16 Jun 2009

I, surprisingly, really like this movie. Part of it is probably Kate Hudson ... mostly it's the fact that it's a lighthearted romp through the Caribbean, with beatiful locations and just enough plot .

.. action and romance thrown in to keep it interesting. No, it's not a brain power excercise ... it's a dumbed down, silly and contrived movie ... but it's perfect summer fare. Like a Jimmy Buffett concert or something.

Enjoy it for what it is ... beautiful people in a beautiful place. It's really not nearly as bad as the critics would have you believe. I'm sure lots of folks agree ... it's all over cable this summer.

I think it's a fun little movie.
