Review of Foolish Wives (1922) by Michael L — 03 Nov 2008
A fine example of early cinema at its best. von stroheim directorial debut is not as good as greed but still a great film. he plays the title character who is a complete scumbag and does it fantasticaly.
the early techniques with light and filters are also quite revolutionary. make sure to rent kino's restored 2 1/2 hour version.
