Review of Food Matters (2010) by Mimi R — 21 Jun 2011
Excellent movie with excellent FACTS! It's amazing what little regard most people have for their health. This movie puts our country's nutritional crisis into perspective. Most people truly do NOT know how to eat healthy.
They think drinking diet coke and eating a caesar salad with extra croutons (Mom) is healthy. Too often people take a pill the moment they feel slightly ill. The truth is, if people would not waste their money on junk food, they could definitely afford to buy at least some, if not all, organic and super foods.
The issue is the backwards priorities society has, along with a lack of education. I don't believe the pharmaceutical companies and medical fields want us to get sick and DIE...how could they make money off of us when we're DEAD? They just want you to take the meds.
...and then take all the meds for the side-effects of the meds, and so on. And when the movie mentioned the published journal articles that were being withheld from public viewing, I was outraged! Is that even legal? Unbelievable.
The movie, in terms of information, did the best they could with an hour and twenty minutes of run time. Anything too technical might not have kept most people's attention. If this country takes away vitamins from the shelf, as the pharmaceutical companies would love and are pushing for, I'm out of here! Its all business.
Watch this movie, get educated, live healthier, and feel better!
