Review of Food Matters (2010) by Kari D — 28 Jan 2012
This was an interesting and educational documentary that makes a number of interesting points and has at least some good information to stand behind. It affected me and caused me to rethink just how important nutrition is for the body and for quality of oneâ(TM)s future.
It covers a great deal of ground and makes fascinating observations every step of the way drawing from a diverse set of historical, scientific, and medical experts. It covers the cultural eating epidemic, concerning trends in agriculture and food production, the overreaching influence of the corporate pharmaceutical companies on the medical profession, and the ability for a properly nourished body to fight illness and live a longer happier life.
It stops short of being too preachy and challenges us to be proactive and take care of ourselves, vs. living carelessly and leaving it up to doctors and pills to fix things all of the time.
