Review of Following Sean (2006) by Christopher N — 03 Jan 2013
Sort of haunting. Rich, deep humanity. At first I didn't like the narrator/filmmaker as he presented what to me seemed the cliched superficial version of the Haight-Ashbury era, but then I began to see him as one of the characters in the story, his viewpoint no more valid or invalid then Johnny's, Sean's father.
This type of documentary is one of the things film does best, and this is good one.
