Review of Following (1999) by Gabe S — 11 May 2009
This cleverly made film by Christopher Nolan, marks the beginning of a truly magnificent film maker. Though the budget for this film was predominantly low, the poor quality brought a realism to the film that couldn't have been achieved with state-to-the-art production capabilities.
The scene structure--similar to The Prestige and Memento--is what keeps the viewer further engaged in the story until the final climax. With one plot twist after the other, this film is makes watching it a second time more understandable.
I would recommend this film to any Chris Nolan fan.
