Review of Flyboys (2006) by Christian Z — 28 May 2010
This is the way it wasnt! unlikely circumstances and cardboard characters in a poorly written un-factual ww1 flying farce. The Air battles would have been good without every single German flying a Fokker Triplane ( they were rather uncommon actually-Albatrosses and a few Fokkers would have been more correct and varied) Zeppelins were rare over France's battlefields and didnt survive long enough in daylight to really be a part of the plot.
I could barely watch it once and hated it intensely, especially the romantic sub-plot which was pure drivel. the Director should go back to filming teen-Wangst movies for a dumber crowd. similar drivel in teh same category is the 2008 version of "The Red Baron", instead watch "The Blue Max", "Hells Angels" or "Dawn Patrol" all older and better films.
