Review of Flyboys (2006) by Bradley E — 06 Apr 2008
See my review for the Astronaut Farmer. This must have been my week for great movies that just couldn't find their greatness. Once again everything is here: performances, casting, script, production design, cinematography, editing, and music are all excellent, but something is missing, an emotional element.
Ultimately, though everything tells me I should, I just don't care about these people. It may be my own failing that I cannot pinpoint what went wrong here, I really wanted to love this film. Oh well.
.. It was worth seeing once.
