Review of Flyboys (2006) by Richard S — 13 Oct 2012
The Germans are evil grinning caricatures and the movie does have an oversentimental sunday afternoon family movie feel about it but I still found it very entertaining. The dogfights look amazing and are brilliantly choreographed and the central characters have enough back story built around them that you do actually care whether they or die.
It feels like a movie that was perhaps made longer ago but it works and keeps your attention for the considerably long running time.
