Review of Flowers in the Attic (1987) by Sue B — 19 Jun 2011
Given the popularity of the series of books by V.C. Andrews, I would have thought that the film version would have warranted a bit more attention than this. Production values are TV-movie quality, the screenplay is poorly written, and even more poorly acted.
The young boy who plays the role of Corey gives the best performance in the film. The creators of this film seemed to let the story speak for itself. Unfortunately, there isn't much of a story to speak of.
