Review of Flowers in the Attic (1987) by 21St Century Schizoid Man — 13 Aug 2009
The stars are for the adaptation and story in general... and for Fletcher's performance... OMG, she really makes you HATE her character.. excellent job. I havent seen cuckoo's nest in ages, but I vaguely remember her face in it.
.. after watching this, I'm not surprised she holds an academy award (for cuckoo's nest)... excellent actress. The film itself is a bit choppy, and in my opinion, poorly acted by most of the cast, even Swanson, who won a young artists award for her role.
I'm not saying it was a horrible performance, but given the circumstances, I thought they were under-acting BIG TIME. still, worth a watch for an incredibly twisted story, with decent surprises towards the end.
