From the trailers and ads, I had zero interest in this film, but thank god for longhaul flights and running out of films to watch, because this was a total hidden gem. It's not stuffy and boring, but actually quite funny and heart-wrenching.
Meryl Streep truly deserves all her accolade for a record breaking 20th acting nomination. The surprise for me though was Hugh Grant, who does not play his usual self, but holds his ground against the mighty Meryl.
This film is enjoyable, entertaining, and totally worth watching.
