A very bad remake of the outstanding French film Marguerite. I feel that it was just the cast list alone that got the very gullible and generally undereducated mainstream movie going public into the theatres to see this movie.
Even the supposed great Meryl Streep and others put in very poor performances. Giving this movie a rating of one star is generous. I would give it a negative number if your scale allowed it. This movie is a slap in the face for the excellent cast and crew of Marguerite.
Academy Award performances? Oh, please! You have got to be kidding!!!!
