Review of Flipped (2010) by Troy F — 15 Jun 2011
To start off, this film's release came practically unnoticed and critics have said Rob Reiner's direction went downward with this one. Personally, while I can agree it doesn't match the strength of Reiner's earlier works, Flipped still fares as a very good movie, and I pity that it got buried down into being ignored likely because of the mediocre criticism.
Sure Rob Reiner has had much better films like The Princess Bride and Stand By Me, but it certainly isn't a weak film (um, that would be North). Forget that though, Flipped is a decent movie that is neither excellent nor average.
it's a feel good film with an interesting bond between two neighbours Bryce and Julie as their confused feelings towards each other intertwine with each other's lives. I enjoyed it. Period.
