Review of Flightplan (2005) by Alexander D — 06 Sep 2011
I'll start off by stating the absolute bottom line: There is not a single moment in this film that even remotely fails to thrill. Taking many of its plot elements and themes from Alfred Hitchcock's early British thriller THE LADY VANISHES, this 2005 Jodie Foster film is truly brilliant.
Just imagine FLIGHTPLAN as a roller coaster ride...except on a plane. If you want to know the truth, that's precisely what it is: a high-speed, full-blast thrill ride, peppered at the best moments with twists, turns, and loops in the plot--or plots; whichever is preferable.
In fact, FLIGHTPLAN is almost as memorable as THE LADY VANISHES is itself.
