Review of Flight World War II (2015) by Larissa R — 10 Jan 2017
Came across this on Netflix. OMG.....
The acting was pretty good, the music and sound great, and excellent visual effects. BUT the plot..... OMG OMG OMG and not in a good way. *SO* very many plot holes... an almost-criminal, blatant disregard for physics... you do not/cannot detach instrumentation from an aircraft while the aircraft is in flight... and if you're doing 200 kt at 10 000 ft there's no way someone can hang onto a lowered landing gear.
If you check your brain at the door, the visual effects and acting *almost* make this worth watching ONCE.... kudos to the producers for doing much of the shooting on/of an actual 757... (perhaps a simulator for the cockpit scenes, hard to tell) but I sincerely hope the screenwriter(s0 were drawn and quartered, on the close heels of the (obviously incompetent) technical advisors.
One star out of 5 - it only gets the 1 star because I like watching airplanes.
