Has anyone ever said that a remake is as good as the original? Of course not. There are a lot of reasons for that. Dialogs, scenes, plots etc. get worn out over time. By the time we see the remake we are not the same person any more.
This movie, like so many others, gets filed into the remake bin and is forgotten easily.
