It lived up to my expectations exactly. Great survival story about hope in a hopeless situation. You really understood the plight these characters were in. I really enjoyed the second half. The first half was mainly set-up which I thought could have moved on to the mission a bit sooner.
Giovanni Ribisi was superb and the twist of his character being a model plane designer was brilliant. Although I hated Dennis Quaid in this film I didn't like his character and his acting felt forced.
The last scene with the plane taking off had me at the edge of my seat. This film for me is very close to worth buying on DVD but not quite.
