This is billed as a "mystery thriller," but there is nothing mysterious or thrilling about it. The trailers made it look like this hero was falsely blamed for a plane crash, but you know from the start that he is an alcoholic.
No mystery there! I might have enjoyed Denzel's unlikeable character a bit more if I had known what I was getting myself into, but being in the mood for a thriller really made me hate this slow, painful look at alcoholism.
