Review of Flight (2012) by Leonard E — 23 Nov 2013
A word of caution - this movie is *not* about an airplane crash. And you'll find yourself cheering for the guy, and hating his guts the very next minute. This is a swan song on the self-destructive affects of alcoholism, and is probably the best movie I've ever seen on the subject.
You'll be thinking about it long after you watch it, especially if you have any personal relationships with someone like Capt Whip. Contains strong drug use and is tough to stomach right from the beginning.
But if you do watch - stick around for the ending. I'm not sure why, but Denzel really likes this kind of thing, kind-of like Training Day without the gangsters. You've been warned. Grade B.
