Review of FleshEater: Revenge of the Living Dead (1988) by Private U — 21 Jul 2007
The basic feel of this movie kinda reminded me of SLiTHER...almost. You'd have to watch it to judge for yourself, but some parts are very similar.
Starts off like Evil Dead, bunch of couple heading to the woods for beer and sex...or sex and beer, either way sounds like a plan. It then seems to focus more on the swath of blood and gore one particular zombie leaves as he wanders about a small town and two of the original characters try to get to safety. And it would appear this zombie is supposed to be the same zombie we first see in Night of the Living Dead.
Otherwise some pointless T&A, at one point a girl strips down to have a shower, but for some reason spends about a minute doing her hair before actually stepping into the shower...? Not that I'm complaining, but doesn't that seem odd?
Overall a decent low-budget zombie flick, could've been a little more over-the-top, probably would've helped. It'd make a great MST movie.
