Review of Flashdance (1983) by John H — 11 Mar 2010
"Flashdance" came out when I was but a wee lad in high school and at the time I thought it was the greatest movie since "GREASE." Now I picked this up today at BIGLOTS (along with 9 other movies) and have to say it was well worth the 3 bucks I paid for it.
3 bucks is a steal for the movie but as an added surprise the dvd had another disc, and not a disc filled with extras no one wants to watch - but this extra disc was the soundtrack to the movie. What a fantastic deal.
Now we all know the story ~ young girl is a welder by day and a dancer by night. Has something for everyone ~ for guys we have the beautiful Jennifer Beals plus a bevy of other beauties, for girls (and some guys) we have the extrenely hot Michael Nouri, we have a hot soundtrack and some stand up comedy.
What more could you ask for??? Trivia bit ~ Junior year in high school, my friend Anthony and I were on our way to school and were running late. We wrecked and I totaled my first car , a 1976 Ford Mustang, and guess what cassette we were jammimg to??? The FL:ASHDANCE soundtrack.
Boy I hope my mom doesn't read this!. Directed by Adrian Lynne. Paramount Pictures. Rated R.
