Review of Flashbacks of a Fool (2008) by Julian A — 08 Dec 2008

Good movie, but I sort of wish it would have just been a film about young Joe Scott and left the older Joe Scott alone. or that they would have done more to mix the flashback and the now, instead of making the flashback one massive block in the middle of the film. I found I cared a lot for young Joe, but when I was reintroduced to old Joe, I didn't feel much for him.

Also, not enough was done to caramelize the relationship of young Joe and Boots. or to lock in the romance of Joe and Ruth.

So it was a fair movie with a lot of potential, but could have been done a bit better.
