Review of Flamingo Road (1949) by Andrew B — 25 Jul 2008
Enjoyable drama with Joan Crawford showing her strong side with the weak, sensitive edge, but made especially intriguing and watchable because of the presence and performance of Sydney Greenstreet -a truely odious but brilliant portrayal of a ruthless Southern sherriff.
There have been few screen characters so repellent yet so fascinating to watch.
