This is a good World War II film. its not great, but it tells the story of the Iwo Jima picture with compassion and interesting factoids. The cast is pretty good, and the imagery is decent. Overall not the best war film, but unlike many World War II stories, it wasn't afraid to show the soldiers as affected by war.
..not just heroes in battle.
