Clint Eastwood is fast becoming a favourite director of mine. Regardless of genre or story his films captivate me. He knows his actors and pulls some tremendous performances from them. Adam Beach easily shines the brightest here as a First Nation soldier sent to Iwo Jima amongst a group of (mostly) blattant racists only to return home to find most people as equally dicriminatory.
