Review of Flags of Our Fathers (2006) by Ian W — 20 May 2011
A very well done war film from Clint Eastwood that shows how one of the most iconic World War II pictures came to be (it later went on to become one of the most iconic pictures ever). Featuring a great cast this also reminds me of the superb Band of Brothers in many ways as well which is no bad thing.
It weighs in at over two hours which is a bit much but when it comes to war movies you need to go in to detail. Highly recommended.
