Review of Five Easy Pieces (1970) by Arek M — 02 Jun 2007
Outstanding performance by Nicholson carries a movie that could have otherwise become bogged down in its European approach to cinema. Subtle performances and unintrusive direction clearly highlight the plights and problems of Nicholson's character, but leave the audience to decide how they should all be connected.
Insightful, daring and unrelenting in its portrayal of a truly flawed character.
