Review of Five Easy Pieces (1970) by Leann D — 09 Dec 2007
A great, dark character study from 1970, this is the perfect film to watch if you've ever felt sick of trying to fit your round peg into the square holes of life, so to speak. Jack Nicholson is awesome, and it includes quite possibly one of the funniest lines in the history of cinema.
it is chicken-related. funny as it is, it also makes a great commentary on the unnecessary and irritating rules and restrictions society keeps in place, that for one reason or another, we can never quite get around, as silly as they are.
one of the most underrated films of the 70's.
