Review of Five Easy Pieces (1970) by Marta F — 20 Mar 2008
With Hollywood's current unhealthy obsession with super heroes and flawless characters, almost to the point where they become cartoons, it is refreshing to see a movie where the main character is an antihero.
Are we supposed to like this guy? I love the 70s/80s movies that had a rural and organic feel to them, like this one, where characters were still human (Silkwood also comes to mind). Jack Nicholson is contagious.
