Review of Five Easy Pieces (1970) by Ninon M — 23 Jun 2017
This is how films should be made, and it was a sad reminder how far off the mark we are right now. Jack gives a remarkable perormace, full of angst, doubt, isloation and hopelessness. The film's tone and characters arc could easily be translated to our present times, this film as aged extreemely well, even down to the perfectly selected music, to the perfect dialouge and balanced manic artowk of Jack nicholson.
If youve missed the scene where jack becomes fed up with the rundancy os sitting in traffic and jumping on the back of a truck and busting out an improtu piano set, as the truck veers off to some unknown exit.
..well here's your chance to witness greatness in acting. If you care about film at all. its a piece that must be watched, if anything to remind you of the artwork that can exist in this medium.
