Review of Five Easy Pieces (1970) by Jerry N — 19 Jan 2009
I liked this movie a lot. I think the reason why is because I saw a lot of myself in Jack Nicolson's character. I don't know why, but I've always thought the idea of disappearing from everyone facinating although I probably don't have the fortitude to do it.
I felt the most powerful scene in the movie was with Jack Nicholson and his onscreen father. To me having my father not even know who I am is worse than him being deceased. Great movie.
