Review of Fitzcarraldo (1982) by Grant P — 11 May 2009
It's a movie very much like "Bullit:"there's only one real reason you watch it for, and it's the scene where they pull the steamboat over the mountain. If you have the appropriate time and resources, I recommend watching "Burden of Dreams" first, so you can get a good idea of exactly what went into the production of this movie.
It's important to realize that Herzog and co literally pulled a motherfucking steamboat over a motherfucking mountain in the middle of the motherfucking amazon. What the hell, right?
