Review of Fish Tank (2009) by Kas G — 28 Feb 2010
A movie that rather than exploiting poverty, unapologetically gives view from within, through the world of an angry 15 y.o girl from a poor part of Essex. The movie has the same tone with those of the Dardenne brothersâ?? movies (La Promesse, Rosetta, Le Fils, Lâ??enfant); at times it is hard to accept what we see because it feels so real.
