Review of First They Killed My Father (2017) by Francisco Q — 02 Dec 2017
Angelina Jolie finally find her note in direction with this honest and agressive portrayal of communist wars and conflicts. The director was the perfect choice to adapt Loung Ung's novel. It was necessary an activist to tell the story of the life of an activist.
However, "First They Killed My Father" is one of those hard movies to recommend. This is an dark, depressing and revolting film that will emotionally break its audience. It would prove that everyone can be moved by this story, which would be very important.
This movie is really good!
