Review of First Man (2018) by Supersandero — 12 Oct 2018
This is what I go to the movies for. Seeing this in IMAX was one of the best film experiences I've had in my life. I loved basically everything about this film. The performances, the score, the editing, the cinematography, the sound... I could gush about this film for hours.
The opening sequence was incredibly intense and absolutely set the mood for the rest of the film. And the takeoff sequence was one of the most breathtaking scenes I've seen in a while. Almost every shot was beautiful.
Very rarely am I so immersed in a movie. Damien Chazelle actually managed to teleport me to the Moon.
