Review of First Knight (1995) by Martin D — 11 Apr 2010
It's far from perfect, but I really enjoyed First Knight. That may be because I love just about anything involving the story of King Arthur, and the romance of Lancelot and Guinevere--both of which were portrayed very well here.
My only qualm was with the fight scenes, which were too clean and fake. However, when the film focuses on the drama and the romance, it's splendid. Sean Connery, Richard Gere, and Julia Ormond do very well in their performances. I recommend it if you like this genre of stories or film.
