Review of First Blood (1982) by Mike G — 12 May 2010
"They drew first blood, not me." Great action flick, one of Sly's best. It doesn't go overboard with weapons and explosions like the sequels did, and focuses more on Rambo's survival skills and instant ability to adapt to any situation.
And there is also his fragile mental state complete with Nam flashbacks and PTSS. He is the last of an elite breed, and Rambo, he will kill you if you fuck with him. Exciting action sequences and pacing make it exceptional and highly entertaining.
